age is an open-source file encryption tool and library designed as a modern replacement for GPG. It uses X25519, ChaChaPoly, and HMAC-SHA256 as cryptographic primitives with a simple command-line interface. The tool supports encryption to multiple recipients, SSH key-based encryption, and passphrase-based encryption.
