Alacritty is an open-source, GPU-accelerated terminal emulator focused on simplicity and performance. It uses OpenGL for rendering, making it one of the fastest terminal emulators available. Alacritty is configured through a YAML file and intentionally omits features like tabs and splits, relying on terminal multiplexers like tmux for those capabilities.
