Affinity Publisher vs Inkscape

Affinity Publisher is a desktop publishing application developed by Serif (now owned by Canva) for page layout and print design. Originally sold as a one-time purchase alternative to Adobe InDesign, Affinity became completely free in 2025 following Canva's acquisition of Serif. The application supports master pages, advanced typography, data merge, and press-ready PDF/X export.

Inkscape is a design tool that free and open-source vector graphics editor that uses svg as its native format. It is open source software.
